Get out of your comfort zone 👊🏻

So I got asked to host a LIVE album launch party on YouTube tomorrow....  

Now, many of you might think this is just part of what I do... But I've never done anything like this before in my life!  like, NeVER ....

I immediately got nervous, and worried and had thoughts of "can I do this?"....  

Naturally our minds go to the dark place... I know I do! I immediately think of the negative instead of positive!

why didn't I think of all the good.... 

The fact that these people asked for ME specifically made me realize that I totally am capable of this ... 

Not only am I capable but I'm going to effing have a BLAST and I've already learned so much...

i think ink it's good to push yourself out of your comfort zone .. Because how will you ever know what you are capable of unless you try 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 

Just a needed REMINDER!

I swear things are placed in our paths as reminders... we just need to  be more aware of the signs...

The other day I was walking on Main Street in Santa Monica and came across this sign... and it made me realize that I need to continue to feed my soul with daily words of affirmation!  

You ARE beautiful ..... you CAN do it... and most importantly, you ARE ENOUGH!!!

It's so important we fuel our minds with words of affirmation because, let's be honest, there is A LOT of cutting people down out there... so let's continue to fuel with positivity!!

WCW - Momma Rad

Today ... my WCW goes to the ultimate woman in my life.. my mom!

I mean I could go on and on and on about the things I admire about my mom but these are the 3 biggest reasons.

1) BRAVEST WOMAN I KNOW. Had my mom & dad not moved to the United States from Serbia when they did, my life would be COMPLETELY different. Had my parents not been brave and courageous, I would not have HALF of the opportunities I was able to grow up with. I couldn't imagine moving to a new country, not speaking the language, and having no family around..... My parents epitomize the word 'courageous' 

2) GIVING. When I say my mom literally gives her ALL to her kids I mean it. I don't think I'll ever understand love like this until I have my own children... but my mom LITERALLY puts her kids above everything and ANYTHING! I hope 1 day I can be half the mom she is.... I don't know how I'll do it, but I had a great teacher!

3) SHE TAUGHT ME TO EMPOWER WOMEN! If there is any person I can credit my passion for women lifting up other women... it would be my mom. She taught me from an early age not to be threatened by other women... rather encourage them! There is room for everyone in this world... we all have something special in unique to offer. Helping others rise up will only put you higher... cutting people down only brings you to the bottom!

Such a simple & short lyric with such a big meaning…

I am a creature of habit! So change isn’t the easiest thing for me to deal with….

Whether is be in my personal life, or my professional life…

I gravitate to this lyric so much because it’s a reminder… that as I move forward and start new chapters in my life, the other doors need to close… and that is OKAY!

 I often find myself holding on to things that don’t serve me… and that is only holding me back from my future goals..

So if you are going through a season of change… or being forced to close some doors in your life..

Just know when one door closes.. another (even bigger door) is getting ready to open for you.

Single Behavior

So I did it! I became THAT girl… and I don’t even know how it happened…

After you get out of a long-term relationship the HARDEST thing to do is to re-train to do things alone……

That first wedding dateless… is just BRUTAL..

That first work holiday party…. With no one…. is a dagger….

Those weekends without plans feel like eternity…. you actually can’t wait to get back to work on Monday…

((Trust me… I’ve been there! Done that! …AND SOME!))

I hated the feeling of not having a partner in crime… I hated doing things by myself…. I hated always flying solo

All I wanted was to get into another relationship!!!!

But…. 

Sure enough…

I not only managed to get accustomed to doing things alone …. I have created some SERIOUS single-girl-habits ….

Every Friday night I like to unwind… clean my makeup brushes… give myself a facial… and catch up on all my TV shows from the week…

I’ve actually had guys ask me out on a Friday night and I say I have plans …

(They don’t need to know my plans consist of MAC brush cleaner, exfoliating scrubs, and some ‘Chasing Life’ episodes… ) 

I quickly realized that getting accustomed to single habits … is just as dangerous (if not more) than getting used to always being a duo!

I guess the first step is realizing there is a problem… Now I’m moving to phase 2… TAKING ACTION!
